EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSITION

NC MHCO is looking for a self-disclosed qualified person who is currently or has in the past received mental health services to serve as the full time Executive Director starting date of July 1, 2005. 

The Director reports to the NC MHCO Board of Directors.  Salary and other benefits determined at the time of hire.

Qualification Requirements Include:

Knowledge of the North Carolina public mental health system of services

Required to have a High School Diploma or GED.  Post High School Education
given a preference.  Years in “recovery” may also count as exceeding educational
requirement beyond high school.

A minimum of three years administrative and financial management

A minimum of two immediate past years of dependable work history

Possess a personal ability to communicate, work with and encourage others and
develop partnership building with consumers of mental health services, professionals, families and others

Job Duties Include:

Responsible for maintaining and overseeing NC MHCO office and all activites as determined by funding sources and the NC MHCO Board of Directors

Responsible for developing and maintaining a public image of NC MHCO as
an advocacy and support organization.

An annual review will be conducted each June
